Raymond Charlie Schober

Raymond Charles Schober was born on January 27, 1923, to John and Alice (Overholser) Schober in Osage, Minnesota. Raymond and his wife, Marian Holman, were married August 10, 1944, near Park Rapids, Minnesota. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Philippines and Japan. The Schober's raised their large family, first on farms in Minnesota and then moved to Wenatchee, Washington in 1966, where Raymond became a General and Electrical Contractor. In 1939, at the age of 16, Raymond made his choice to serve God and that was his joy and anchor all his life. He stepped through the door into eternity on September 11, 2005, at the age of 82. He is survived by his loving wife, Marian at home; his children, Phil and Nancy Schober of Friday Harbor, Lyle Schober of Minnesota, Ken and Bonnie Schober of Wenatchee, Janice and Nick Thiry of Ephrata, Pauline and Randy Johnson of Pine River, Minnesota, Beth and Ray Breeden of Quincy, Gerald and Angela Schober of Bellingham, Douglas and Jillayne Schober of Medicine Lake, Minnesota, 19 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many, many faithful friends. Raymond was preceded in death by two daughters, Diane and Marian; and a son, Stephen. Services of Commemoration will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2005, at Betts Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park in East Wenatchee. Visitation will be on Friday, September 16, 2005, from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of Betts Funeral Service.
