Arthur Kirkpatrick

Arthur Kirkpatrick was born 22 April 1792 in Chester County, South Carolina. He died 27 April 1861 in York County, and is buried in Bullock's Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery there.

Arthur was drafted as a private in the War of 1812 into Captain James Brannon's Company of South Carolina Militia. He entered service about 1 October 1814 and marched to the city of Charleston, South Carolina, where he served for five months until mustered out on 3 March 1815. He later received two bounty land warrants for his service.

Arthur was twice married. The name of his first wife is unknown. After his first wife's death, he married Mary Black on 20 January 1848. Mary died on 6 Jul 1904.

Arthur and his first wife had 3 children. Arthur and Mary had 1 child.
