Chicago Heights Star, Chicago Heights, Illinois, Sunday August 12, 1984, Page 4, Col. 1: Maymie C. Dedrick of Steger, an area resident for more than 50 years, died Wednesday at St. James hospital. She was born April 27, 1904 in Franklin county, Illinois. The Rev. Marvin Martin, former pastor, conducted services Friday at Fellowship Baptist church in South Chicago Heights. Burial was in Blue Island's Beverly cemetery. Mrs. Dedrick is survived by one daughter, Lillie Slavik of Steger; two sons, William Kirkpatrick of Rockport, Ind., and Noble Kirkpatrick of Riverview, Fla.; three sisters, Leota Roberts, Myrtle Day and Fern Lance, all of Sesser, three brothers, Art Loman and Lloyd Loman, both of Sesser and Lee Loman of Herrin; 15 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
