On the 1900 U. S. Census of Beaver Dam, Dodge Co., Wisconsin, Franklin W. Clason appears with his children Ralph A. and Mabel. Franklin is divorced. He is a farmer. The children are attending school.
On the 1905 Wisconsin census Franklin W. Clason is a lodger, divorced and living in Price County. There are no children noted.
On the 1910 U. S. Census of Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida, Franklin Clason is age 49 and divorced and his son is listed as Ralf A. Clason age 26. Franklin is a farmer and Ralph is a gas maker. Ralph states he is married and has been for 4 years. They are lodgers with a large group of people.
Franklin applied for a passport in 1919 to see relatives in Panama (the words Canal Zone were lined out). Two pictures of him are with the application. He is a retired farmer. He stated he wanted the passport sent to him at F. W. Clason, Fort Screven, Georgia. This is where both daughters were living with their military husbands.
He appears on an immigration list as a passenger of the S. S. Calawaii sailing from Los Angeles to Honolulu in December 1923. At this time he states his American address is Pasadena, California. He is traveling without any family members.
