Lockney, July 6, (Special)---Final rites for George Burrell [Burwell] Aycock, 86, who died Thursday in an Amarillo convalescent home, where he had been a year, will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Assembly of God Church here. The Rev. Quanah Jobe, minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Lockney Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home. A retired farmer, Aycock was a member of the Masons, Woodmen of the world and the Assembly of God Church. He was born Dec. 1, 1870, in Beulah, Miss. and moved to Lockney in 1935. Survivors include his wife; five sons, Roland Aycock of Mosquero, N.M, S. J. Aycock, Palmdale, Ariz., Henry Aycock, Hereford, Johnny Aycock, Brownfield, Donald Aycock, Amarillo; two daughters, Mrs. Madge Jones, Floydada, and Mrs. O. L. Cox, Tatum, N. M.; two sisters, Mr. C. F. Brown, Abilene, and Mrs. K. Brown, Gilbert, Ariz. Eighteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
