Grandfather of Maddalena and Rose Marie Colautti, and Manuel, Juanita, Gloria, and Catherine Crummett great-grandfather Suzette, Angelo, and Madelyn Andrews, Manuel, Tammy, Cody, and Casey Crummett and Norman Smithart, great-grandfather of Tevin Montgomery and Chase Smithhart. Manuel Fereira died of meningitis. He was a ranch hand. His daughter, our mother, Ermelin loved him so much. He was her hero. He took her everywhere with him. She made him known and beloved of her children through her stories and her love of him. We love our Grandpa very much and wish that we could have known the man who made cookies and snacks for the neighborhood kids and who called our Mamma 'Portuguee Beans'. Daughter Marie Fereira Flynn May 1, 1917-June 5, 1975) is buried in St. Michael's Cemetery, Livermore, California.
Daughter Ermelin Fereira Colautti Crummett (December 24, 1919 - March 30, 1995) is interred in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Reno, Nevada.
