Swall, 87, formerly of 500 Melrose Av. E., who died Sunday in a hospital after a brief illness. Born in Mountain View, Calif., Mr. Swall went to Whitman County in 1895. He attended the Washington Agricultural College and farmed near Pullman several years. He owned a wheat ranch near Fort Benton, Mont., before retiring and moving to Seattle in 1941. Earlier had lived in Seattle several years at the time of the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition and owned and operated hotels here. Surviving are his wife, Nell Y., and a sister. Minnie Old, Pullman.
