Davis W. Chronister

Daily American Republic, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Tuesday evening, March 27, 1928, Front Page, Col. 7: David [Davis] Chronister, Aged Farmer, Dies. David [Davis] W. Chronister, aged 69, old time resident of Butler county and farmer of the Lade community, near Rombauer, passed away at his farm home Monday evening about 5 o'clock. Chronister was well known in this county and one of the leading farmers of the Rombauer section. Surviving him are his widow, four children, 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The children are Steve, John and Leona Chronister and Mrs. Hanna Morris, all of Butler county. A sister, Mrs. Sarah Kelson, is a resident of Dupo, Ill. Funeral services for Mr. Chronister were held this afternoon at 7 o'clock from the Hamtown Church and interment following services was in the Hamtown cemetery, A. W. Greer reports.
