Born Dec. 4, 1898 at Stuttgart, Kan., he was a retired Haven school teacher. He was a teacher for 42 years. Survivors: brothers, Arthur, East Moline, Ill.; Bernhard, Lockwood, Mo.; Martin, Seattle, Wash.; sister: Mrs. W. H. Steffens, Wichita; step-sister: Mrs. Irma Meier, Wichita. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Haven. Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Haven. Friends may call at DeVorss Mortuary, Wichita.
