Louisa Mae Packman

(4 Jun 1869 - 22 Sep 1917)

Webster City Freeman, Webster City, Hamilton Co, Iowa, September 25, 1917, Page 3: Death of Former Woolstock Resident. Mrs. Louisa Donaldson Succumbs to Month's Illness at Home in Litchfield, Minn. Mrs. Louisa Donaldson, a daughter of Geo. Packman, eight miles northwest of this city, passed away at her home in Litchfield, Minn., last Saturday after an illness of over a month with heart trouble and pleurisy. The deceased was born in Iowa forty-eight years ago and lived near Woolstock, where she was well known, most of her life. Aside from the bereaved father, the untimely death of Mrs. Donaldson is mourned by her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Smalley, of the Rock Ford district near Woolstock, and two sisters, Mrs. Theo. Segar, eight miles northwest of this city and Mrs. Parrish of Woolstock. The remains where taken to the Smalley home yesterday and funeral services held from the Woolstock Methodist church this afternoon. Interment was made in Graceland cemetery, this city.

There is no mention of her husband or two sons in the obituary. It seems unusual.
