The Bakersfield Californian, Bakersfield, California, Friday, March 29, 1946, Page 15: Cowan, Johnson--Funeral services for Johnson Cowan, 50, of Arvin, who died Tuesday in a local hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hopson Mortuary with the Reverend A. H. Wallace officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. Mr. Cowan is survived by his widow, Mrs. Oda May Cowan, Box 406, Arvin; two daughters, Bonnie Kate of Keene and Johnnie of Arvin; three brothers, Ernest and Steve of Oklahoma and Sam Cowan of Arizona; three sisters, Cora O'Neal and Rosela Balton of Oklahoma and Silvia Foster of Los Angeles.
