Telegraph Herald, Dubuque, Iowa, August 29, 2003: Wilfred "Bill" Tinkey, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Dubuque, passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2003, in Mesa. Cremation took place at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Mesa. Mr. Tinkey worked at the former Dubuque Packing Co. until his retirement in 1982, when he moved to Mesa. He was a World War II veteran. Surviving are his wife, Kay, of Bartlett, Ill.; a daughter, Marilyn Tinkey, of Bartlett; a sister-in-law, Joy Landgraf, of Skokie, Ill.; two sisters, Alberta (Pat) Hall, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Irma (Lloyd) Reth, of Delhi, Iowa; two brothers, Leroy (Bud) Tinkey, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, and Laverne (Theresa) Tinkey, of Lamont, Iowa; and 12 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Tinkey; and his parents, Fred and Ruby Tinkey.
