On the 1880 U. S. Census Clinton, Pocahontas Co., Iowa, Harvey Clayson is in the household of the Reed family as farm labor. His wife Angela and daughter Daisy B. are living in the household of his brother-in-law Richard F. Chatfield listed on the same page of the census.
On the Kansas City Directory of 1890 Harvey J. Clason resides at 609 Scotland and works as a laborer. This was found at Ancestry.com.
On page 88 of the book, Stephen Clason of Stamford, Connecticut, in 1654 and Some of His Descendants by William B. Lapham, printed in 1892, it states Harvey J. Clason and family resided in Armerdale, Kansas. This should be Amourdale, Kansas which is now part of Kansas City.
On the 1910 U. S. Census of Kansas City, Wyandotte Co., Kansas Harvey Clason appears with his wife Lottie O., son [step-son Lee Mattox] Lee, age 13 and step son Johnny Longfellow age 18. Harvey is a laborer in a lumberyard. Lee is an office boy, and Johnny is a laborer on the railroad. They are living at 1251 Allen Ave. Also in the household is Harvey's father-in-law Thompson Creamer, age 92, his brother-in-law John W. Creamer and neices Ethel and Dorothy Creamer. John works as a laborer at the water works.
On the 1920 U. S. Census of Kansas City, Wyandotte Co., Kansas Harvey J. Clayson appears with his wife Lottie O. and his sister-in-law Amanda Bradley. Harvey is a foreman at a lumber company. Harvey is indexed as Harvey J. Clagon. They are living at 1251 W. Allen St.
