Kirkpatrick, 62 years old, 19 North Henderson avenue, manager of the farm loan department and auditor for the Farmers and Merchants Bank for the past five years, died of a heart ailment at 7:45 o'clock Thursday night at a hospital here. He was admitted to the hospital on Oct. 11. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at First Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. L. W. Cleland, in charge. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The body is at the Walther Funeral Home where it will remain until time for the services. Mr. Kirkpatrick is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna Kirkpatrick and a daughter, Miss Julie Anna, at home. Born at Diehlstadt on July 8, 1890, he was married to Miss Edna Looney on June 4, 1919. Mr. Kirkpatrick was employed in the banks at Morley and Benton. He served as circuit clerk and recorder of deeds of Scott County for 20 years. Prior to taking his position with the bank here he was state bank examiner for two or three years. Mr. and Mrs. Kirkpatrick moved to Cape Girardeau 10 years ago from Benton. Mr. Kirkpatrick was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
