Sikeston Herald, Sikeston, Missouri, Thursday, September 6, 1945: Last Rites Held for Mrs. Mary Kirkpatrick. Funeral service were conducted at the Baptist Church at Morley at 2 o'clock yesterday for Mrs. Mary Kirkpatrick, who died at her home there Sunday of diabetes. Rev. Anderson, pastor of the church, conducted the service. He was assisted by Rev. T. L. Bess of Benton. Burial was made in the old cemetery at Morley. Mrs. Kirkpatrick, who was aged 71 years, was a native of Charleston. She and her husband, J. B. Kirkpatrick, had been residents of Morely for more than half a century. During her residence at Morley Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a prominent worker in the Baptist church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Chapter. Survivors beside her husband include her son Frank J. Kirkpatrick, before moving to Cape Girardeau, served as Recorder of Deeds for Scott county for twenty years, one grandchild, Judy Kirkpatrick, of Cape Girardeau and a brother, Mr. Allen of Kansas City, are also among the survivors.
