Born on April 22, 1900 in Patterson she was married to John McDowell. He died in 1940. She then married Arthur Bennett, who died in 1976. Surviving are four sons, Frederick A. McDowell, Montebello, Calif., Robert R. McDowell, Baltimore, Md., Keith Edward McDowell, Ironton, and Harold C. McDowell, California; three daughters, Evelyn Allen, Newberg, Ore., Anna M. Brennecke, Affton and Betty M. Hansen, Portland, Ore.; four brothers, Glen Bennett, Greenville, Maynard Bennett, Fort Worth, Wayne Bennett, Ste. Genevieve and Billy Bennett, address not available; two sisters, Lola Parton, Denver and Violet Blake, Ste. Genevieve; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gish-Bowles and Coder Funeral Chapel in Greenville. The Rev. Gene Grate will officiate. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:30 p.m. Monday.
