The Graphic, Clarksville, Arkansas: Wilson E. Porter, 94, of Booneville died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at Booneville. He was a native of Clarksville, son of the late Guy and Tommie Porter, member of the First United Methodist Church in Booneville and Rotary Club in Booneville, served in the Navy during World War II, retired Logan County Extension Service agent, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Porter. Survivors include his wife, Clydine Porter; one son, John David Porter of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Tom Porter of Fullerton, Calif.; two sisters, Doris Church of Fort Worth, Texas, and Helen Hill of Farmington; five granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, at the First United Methodist Church in Booneville. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery north of Clarksville under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
