Hoffman was born 4 Sep 1881 in Sutherland, O’Brien County, Iowa the first child of Charles Franklin Hoffman and Ruth Mary Harkness, she married Robert Darcy McCance on 4 Sep 1902 in Akron, Plymouth County, Iowa. To this union 7 children were born six girls and one boy Robert who died young. Myrtle died 20 March 1927 at her home in Griswould, Case County, Iowa of Lobar Pneumonia and was buried 24 March 1927 in Akron, Plymouth County, Iowa. She leave her husband Robert, daughters, Erma, Elmo Corine, Erid Cordelia, Eva, Era Faith, Eula Roberta. Rest in Peace Dear Great Aunt Myrtle.
