Daily Press, Newport News, Virginia, August 19, 1999: Dale Edward Hosier died in an automobile accident in Pocahontas, Iowa, on Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999. He was born Sept. 30, 1936, in Waterloo, Iowa, a son of the late Carl and Ada Ford Hosier. He was a member of the Universal Chapel of Light Church of Newport News. Survivors include his former wife, Alice Kuntz Hosier of Stuarts Draft; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Hosier Parker, and Edward, of Rocky Mount, N.C.; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Joy of Chicago, Ill., Forrest and Jolene of Staples, Minn.; three sisters, Donna Schneiderman of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Barbara Kehe of Waterloo, Iowa, and Carla MacDonald of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and seven grandchildren, Amanda and Ryan Parker, Jonathan, Jaclyn, Holt, Branden and Kaleigh Hosier. There will be no public viewing. His body was cremated. Private services will be held in Waterloo, Iowa, and Stuarts Draft.
