He was born February 16, 1925 in Gray Hawk, KY to the late Thomas & Ruby (Brumback) Hays. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Helen (Creech) Hays; two children, Connie (Bill) Carmack & Gary (Melissa) Marcum; 7 grandchildren; 2 brothers, 1 sister; numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was also preceded in death by 5 sisters; 3 brothers; 2 grandchildren & 2 infant great grandchildren.
He was a member of Miami Shores Baptist Church in Moraine and served in Baptist churches as a Deacon and Music Director for many years. He was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving during WWII. He will be missed and honored by his family and friends.
Funeral service at Miami Shores Baptist Church, 4000 Vance Road, Moraine with Pastor Doug Surber officiating. Interment at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
