Obituary from Telegraph Herald, Friday, February 3, 1984, page 12: Mrs. Ernest Wilson. Services for Mrs. Ernest (Martha H. ) Wilson, 59, of 682 University Ave., will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. Sunday at Behr's, where the parish rosary will be said 7 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Wilson, the former Martha H. Hosier, died at 12:55 a.m. Thursday at Finley Hospital. She was born in Manchester, Iowa. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Allen (Julia) Benson of North Glen, Color., and Mrs. Christine Hughes of Dubuque; four sons, Carl J. and Michael A., both of Dubuque, Stephen M. of Bell, Calif., and Richard R. of Huntington Park, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. James (Margaret) Stacey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Elaine Hosier of Dubuque, and Mrs. Ralph (Judy) Wallenhorst of Potosi, Wis., and a brother, John of Dubuque. Her mother, Mrs. Ethel (at this point the obit was not finished copying). It probably was noting that her mother had died the previous day in the same hospital.
