Pulaski County Democrat, 1 April 1971: Funeral Services Are Held for George Bryan Dye. George Bryan Dye, son of Cornelia W. Dye and Sarah Page Dye, was born 8 October 1896 at Big Piney, Missouri and passed away March 26, 1971 at his home in Waynesville, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Gladys Bischoff, April 6, 1921, and to this union three children were born. He is preceded in death by baby Louise on April 2, 1922. Mr. Dye was a well known business man in Pulaski County. He is survived by his wife of the home and two children, a daughter Mrs. Velma Lea Gray of Amarillo, Texas and a son, Kenneth Dye of Fayetteville, North Carolina; also four grandchildren Steven and Edith Gray of Amarillo, Texas and Kenneth and Gary Dye of Fayetteville, N. C. and one great grandson Bryan Gray of Amarillo, Texas. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Etta Woods of St. Louis, Mo and Mrs. Odessa Roam of Waynesville, Mo and four brothers, Harley M. Dye, E. M. Dye, Burley A. Dye, all of Waynesville and R. Bland Dye of Laquey, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his sister Ethel Davis and his brother Harvey F. Dye. He leaves many relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services were held Monday, March 29, 1971at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Waynesville with Rev. Lyle Cox and Rev. Wilbur Harbaugh officiating. Interment was in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery under the directions of Moss-Williams. Pallbearers were: Billy Dye, Arthur Dye, Burton Dye, Dale Roam, Herman Dye and Roy Lee Dye.

Marker at foot of grave is brass government plaque stating Pvt US Army World War I.
