Obituary from the Humboldt Times, Wednesday, August 3, 1932: Fortuna, Aug. 2-- Mrs. Gertude Irene White, former Eureka and Fortuna resident, died in Oakland last Sunday. She collapsed at the funeral of her aunt, Mrs. F. L. Parker **, which was held in Oakland last Friday and lingered until Sunday, when she passed away. Mrs. Gertrude Irene White daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hosier of Fortuna, was born in Eureka in 1889. She moved with her family to Fortuna in 1897, and was educated in the schools of this county. In 1909 she went with her parents to Folsom, California. She was married there to Earl White, June 6, 1912. Mr. and Mrs. Hosier returned to Fortuna some time ago, and Mr. and Mrs. White had just moved to Palo Alto a short time ago. She is survived by her husband and a son, Kenneth White, her parents and other relatives. The funeral will occur from the Hunter-Wise funeral chapel Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Sam Nesbitt conducting the religious service. Gordon Legg, her cousin, will sing at the service. When Mrs. White was nine years of age she was baptised into the Christian Church by Rev. Nesbitt and he also officiated at her wedding at Folsom, and will now officiate at her obsequies. Interment will be in Myrtle Grove cemetery, Eureka. The pall bearers announced are Bert Morgan, Fred Scibner, Hans Larsen, J. W. Hardwick, Charles Edson and E. J. Hunter.

The paper was printed on Wed. Aug. 3, 1932. It states in the obituary she died on Sunday. That figures to her death date being July 31, 1932. The date of August 2, 1932 from the cemetery listing is incorrect.
