(9 Jun 1873 - 3 Jun 1942)
The Milwaukee Journal, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Friday, June 5, 1942, Page L 3, Col. 1: Mrs. A. K. Bentley, wife of the contractor who has been directing the construction of a new prison hospital at Waupun, Wis., will be buried in Forest Home cemetery following 1:30 p.m. services at the Gerner chapel, 1300 W. Juneau av. She died Wednesday at Clark & Swartz hospital in Waupun. [unable to read] the hospital work had been stopped recently because of a war-time shortage of materials, the Bentleys had planned to return to their residence at 1704 E. Kane pl. as soon as Mrs. Bentley was in better health. Born on what is now W. Cedar st., Mrs. Bentley attended the old Milwaukee Female seminary, now Milwaukee Downer college. She was the daughter of the late Charles L. Clason, director and vice-president of the old Plankinton bank for many years. Her husband and a daughter, Mrs. Florence Nilsen, Milwaukee, survive.
