Lexington Herald, Lexington, Kentucky, Tuesday, April 14, 1964, Page 10, Col. 4: Berea---Mrs. Mary E. Hays, 90, a former Berea resident, died Saturday at the home of a daughter in Jacksonville, Fla. She was a member of the Berea Baptist Church and a native of Madison County. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Nellie Traxler, Salisbury, N. C.; Mrs. Margie Sanger and Mrs. Ruby Hennesey, Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Clemmie Crowe, Hamilton, Ohio; a son, Chester Hays, Lexington; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The body was brought to the Rominger Funeral Home here. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Baptist Church by the Rev. O. B. Mylum. Burial will be in Berea Cemetery. Bearers will be Bill Finne, Tom Dunnigan, Lynn Brummigin, Ronald Scrivner, and grandsons John and Jerry Hays.
