Frank Robert Shelley

Frank Robert Shelley was born in Jefferson county, Iowa, March 30, 1866, and died March 13, 1`946, aged 69 years, 11 months and 12 days. He came to Nebraska March 8, 1886, homesteading near Gothenburg, where he has made his home for the past fifty years. On July 27, 1910, he was married to Miss Stella Brown, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. To them were born two children, one whom died in infancy, and Frances, who has made her home with his sister in Iowa since her mother's death in 1921. He was a member of the M. E. church of Gothenburg. He had been confined to his home for the past several years with paralysis. He is survived by his daughter, Frances, of Salem, Iowa; one brother, James S., of Gothenburg, and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hallowell of Salem, Iowa, Mrs. Whaley of Guide Rock, Neb. and Mrs. Margaret Deitz of Pasadena, California. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the home, Rev. Wm. Kilburn officiating. Mrs. Howard Welch beautifully sang two solos. Interment was made in Grandview cemetery. Pallbearers were: K. J. Catterson, L. A. Chaplin, Bert Lemmon, Phil Farnstrom, Harry Estle, and Clarence Pramberg. Gothenburg Times, Wed. March 18, 1936, Page 4, Col. 4. Grand View Cemetery Gothenburg Nebraska.
