On 23 January 1959 he married Melany Anne Owen, daughter of William and Ellen Faye (Harmon) Owen, who was born in Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi on 14 October 1943. Charles is a farmer and rancher near Hamilton, Monroe County, Mississippi, and Anne works in the office of the Monroe County Chancery Clerk.

Services are today at 2 p.m. at The Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with Robert Moore officiating. Burial will be at Center Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Taylor was born Jan. 18, 1938, in Monroe County to the late Marvin Earl Taylor and Willie Birt Stewart Taylor. He was formerly employed as a foreman with the Monroe County road crew. He is survived by daughters, Debbie Lampkin of Hamilton and Patti Perkins of Maben; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Terry Holman, Steve Holman, Lee Bell, Chris Bell, Roger Pace, Wayne Thompson, Frank Howell Cockerham and Jay Barnes.
