The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, Tennessee, Tuesday, July 1, 1997, First Edition, Page B 4: Hamilton--- Marvin Earl Taylor, 90, retired business agent for Local Union 387 in Columbus, died of cardiac arrest Sunday at Aberdeen-Monroe County Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Center Hill Baptist Church, where he was a former music director, with burial in Center Hill Cemetery. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home has charge. He had graduated from Hamilton High School and received a music diploma from Baptist Bible Institute in New Orleans. Also at the church, he had been a deacon, deacon secretary, Sunday school superintendent and teacher, training union director and secretary of the cemetery committee. Mr. Taylor, the widower of Willie Birt Stewart Taylor, leaves a son, Charles Perry Taylor of Hamilton, two granddaughters and five great-grandchildren. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, any memorials be sent to the Center Hill Cemetery Fund.
