Chatfield, Minn.---(Special to The Republican-Herald)---Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen L. Ferguson, 89, pioneer Southeastern Minnesota resident who died here Sunday at 10:45 a.m. will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Presbyterian church by the pastor, the Rev. Willard H. Reeves, and the Rev. John Gibb of Rochester, former pastor. Burial will be at Fremont. Mrs. Ferguson, whose maiden name was Ellen Clason, was born March 16, 1848, at Lowell, Wis., came to Oronoco, Minn., with her parents when 16 years old. She was married at Rushford December 16, 1868, to Matthew Ferguson, The couple moved to Fremont after their marriage and lived there until 1894 when they moved to Chatfield. Mrs. Ferguson is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Helen Atchison of Chatfield and Mrs. Julius Westrum of Albert Lea. Mr. Ferguson died in 1914.
