Rounds, 67, widow of Chauncy Rounds and mother of J. W. Rounds, who died October 10 at the home of her son, 959 Cleveland avneue, were held Wednesday. Interment was at Rose City cemetery beside her husband, who passed away six years ago. Mrs. Rounds was born in Beaver Dam, Wis., December 23, 1844, and was married September 17, 1860, to Chauncy Rounds. Her husband enlisted, leaving her and a baby boy at home. After the war they moved to Waterville, Minn. In 1916 they moved to Portland. She had been a member of the Woman's Relief vorps for about 35 years and was a member of the Sumner Woman's Relief corps No. 21 of Portland, who were in charge of the funeral services, and was a member of the past presidents' club. In 1921 the couple celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. Surviving, in addition to her son, are a sister, Mrs. Ellen Fergerson [Ferguson] of Chatfield, Minn.; three grandchildren, Dr. William Rounds of Sleepy Eye, Minn., Mrs. J. J. Christensen of Wells, Minn., and Georgia L. Rounds of Portland, Or., and three great grandchildren.
