Johnson, 40, of Lake Charles will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Prien Lake Memorial chapel. Burial will be in Prien Lake Memorial Park cemetery with Ardoin funeral home of Kinder in charge of arrangements. Rev. Cleburne Quaid, pastor of Simpson Methodist church, Lake Charles, will officiate. Rev. Rex Sayres, past[or] of First Methodist church of Kinder will assist.
Mr. Johnson died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday at his home following a heart attack. He was a member of First Methodist church of Kinder, a veteran of World War II, and a member of VFW Post 2775 of Orange, Texas. He was employed as a boiler maker at Cities Service company in Lake Charles and was a member of Boilermakers Local 79. He moved to Lake Charles 10 years ago from Kinder.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Dena E. Johnson of Lake Charles; three sons, Russel, Rawlin and Randal Johnson all of lake Charles; two daughters, Miss Kay Frances Johnson and Miss Charlene Johnson both of Lake Charles; five brothers, Melvin Johnson of Kinder, Leslie Johnson of Lake Charles, Virgil Johnson of Orange, Texas, Bruce Johnson of Pasco, Wash., and Wilmer Johnson of Loveland, Colo.; five sisters, Mrs. Leota Cowart of Kinder, Mrs. Doris Klein of Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Gertrude Spainhower of Alaska, Mrs. Imogene Coble of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and Mrs. Claudia Canaday of Moses Lake, Wash.
