William James Galloway, 22 was living in Lutterworth Twp. Victora Co. Ont. Can. when he married Melinda C. Otto 19 in 1868. William James and Mary Galloway, children of David and Jane Galloway, married sister and bother, Stephen and Melinda Otto. William's mother Jane's obituary 1906 said that he was living in Pellston Mi. at this time. The Cheboygan Democrat News Paper 8/26/1889, indicated that these people lived at Burt Lake Mi. at this time. Found William James in the 1930 US census, MacKinley Twp. Emmet Co, Pellston Town Dis. 4. This record lists him as a widower & 83 yrs old, so his wife has already died. A newspaper article (Cheboygan Democrat 1899) indicated that William James lived in Burt Twp. Cheboygan Co. Mi. at this time. He was listed in the Cheboygan Co. immigration records that indicated he came here from Canada March 12, 1881. Also his brother David J. immigrated Sept. 19, 1895 there from Canada.
