Edmund Francis EGAN
(23 Mar 1844 - 28 Mar 1926)
Edmund was educated at Gravelines in northern France and at St. Edmund's College in Hertfordshire. He was ordained a priest at St. Thomas's Seminary in Hammersmith, London in December 1870. Apart from a brief period ministering in Essex after his ordination Edmund spent his entire religious life working in London. In 1871 he went to the Church of the Assumption, Warwick St. where he remained for 24 years. He then served for 12 years in the parish of St. Charles, Ogle St. before being appointed in 1906 as missionary rector at Our Lady of Grace and St. Edward in Chiswick where he served for the rest of his life.
