Individual Details

Cornelius (Con) MULVIHILL

(Abt 1 Apr 1824 - Poss 15 Nov 1908)

At the time of his marriage to Biddie Dineen (his second wife), Cornelius was living in Gortdromasillihy, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. Apparently he subsequently inherited the family's Clounbrane farm in Moyvane (one of the three farms originally owned by Con's father).

I am told that Con had a brother named Michael who married Norrie Cunningham who was a sister of Con's first wife, Nance, i.e., two Mulvihill brothers married two Cunningham sisters. However, further research needs to be carried out to verify this.

I believe the Cornelius Mulvihill who died at Church St., Listowel, Co. Kerry on 15 November 1908 aged 85 is Con above as the informant on his death record was a Tim Dineen of Glenalappa, Moyvane, and Con's wife was Bridget Dineen from Glenalappa. Con's (approximate) birth date has been calculated from the death record.
