Ann (Nance) CUNNINGHAM (caution: not verified)

( - Bet 1860 and 1862)

A number of family trees on the Ancestry website show Nance as being a daughter of Daniel Cunningham and Hanora Enright. While it seems likely she was indeed their daughter, this has not been verified.

According to some sources Nance's name may actually have been Nora. However, the baptism records of her children give their mother's name as Ann. Also, it appears that she had a sister named Honora (from which Nora is derived). This sister, who was known as Norrie, was the wife of Michael Mulvihill who was apparently a brother of Nance's husband, Con, i.e., two Mulvihill brothers married two Cunningham sisters. However, further research needs to be carried out to verify this.

Nance died when her children were very young. Con remarried not long afterwards.
