James MORAHAN

(Abt 1836 - 4 Feb 1912)

James was a boat builder in the Carrick-on-Shannon area. He was living in Cortober, Carrick-on-Shannon at the time of his marriage in 1870. He and his family later moved to Killarney, probably after the death of his wife, Bridget. In Killarney he carried on boat-building and in 1898 added coach-building to his business. The 1901 census lists 64-year-old James and his 26-year-old daughter Mary Agnes in Moyeightragh, Killarney.
