Robert d'Ufford, 1st Earl of Suffolk was born on 9 August 1298. He was the son of Sir Robert d'Ufford, Lord Ufford and Cecily de Valoignes.2 He married Margaret de Norwich, daughter of Sir Walter de Norwich and Catherine de Hedersete, circa 1320.1 He died on 4 November 1369 at age 71.1
He was created 1st Earl of Suffolk in March 1336/37.
