Margaret de Quincy was born circa 1218 at Winchester, Hampshire, England.2 She was the daughter of Roger de Quency, 2nd Earl of Winchester and Helen de Galloway.1,2 She married William de Ferrers, 5th Earl of Derby, son of William de Ferrers, 4th Earl of Derby and Alice of Chester, in 1238.2 She died before 12 March 1284.2
