Individual Details

Dennis Karney McKillip

(11 Sep 1852 - 18 Sep 1891)

In the 1880 Cook County, IL census, Dennis was enumerated at 271 Morgan Street. In the same building and living nearby were Robert Eary (a teamster) and John McEvoy (a printer). There was also a Freter Edstron visiting during the enumeration. She was 42 and either widowed or divorced at the time. She lists New York as her birthplace but her father was from Sweden. More research is needed to determine if she related to Dennis or Mary.

Dennis is buried in Section F, Division 4, Lot 332, Location 4 1/2 N. His interment number is #34280.

On the 1870, Kenosha County, WI Federal census, house number #150 is shown as Dennis Kearney (aged 54), wife Mary and children. Could this Dennis be related to Dennis? Was Dennis named for this other Dennis? Maybe Dennis' maother Bridget is Dennis Kearney's sister. Perhaps their father was also named Dennis and William and Bridget's son is named for her father.
