Obituary: INDIAN BAYOU - Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2006, at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel for Avery "Lloyd" Hoffpauir, 74, who died at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at his residence. Interment will be in Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Rosa Marie Hoffpauir, of Indian Bayou, Oraphine Hoffpauir, of Port Barre, Yvette Sonnier, of Indian Bayou, Lisa F. Libersat, of Lafayette; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; one brother, Howard "Donald" Hoffpauir, of Ragley; and six sisters, Nettie "Ora" Foreman, Velma H. Stutes, Buel H. Field, Annette Lebouef, all of Indain Bayou, Irene H. Foreman, of Texas, and Lorraine Lebouef, of Abbeville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Claire M. Hoffpauir; one son, Raymond Lloyd Hoffpauir; parents, Avery C. Hoffpauir and Oraphine Smith Hoffpauir; and one sister, Zora Ann Hoffapauir. Mr. Hoffpauir served in the United States Army and was employed by Acadiana Mack as a diesel mechanic in Carencro for 42 and 1/2 years. The family requested that the visiting hours be observed Monday, Jan. 1, 2006, from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Tuesday, from 8 a.m. until services time.
