Obituary: Funeral services were to be held at 4:30 p.m. today at the Hixson funeral home for Oliver Bennett Foreman, 75, of 505 Armstrong street. Burial will be in Highland Garden of Memories cemetery.
Mr. Foreman, a retired farmer, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday after suffering a heart attack at his home.
He had lived in Lake Charles for 18 years. He was a native of Indian Bayou. Mr. Foreman was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are his wife of Lake Charles; five sons, R. B. of Nederland, Texas, Charles Edward of Port Neches, Gabriel of Lake Charles, Henry of Sulphur and Donald of the US Army in Germany; six daughters, Mrs. Earl Reeher of Lake Charles, Mrs. Eddie Trahan and Mrs Dewey LeDoux, both of Sulphur, Miss Ruby Foreman, Gertrude Foreman and Ruth Foreman of Mobile, Ala.; his mother, Mrs. Orellia Foreman of Welsh; one brother, Ruben of Crowley; seven sisters, Mrs. C. J. Brooks and Mrs. Raymond Bell, both of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Cleveland Breaux of Jennings, Mrs. Dewey Broussard and Mrs. Lodie Revla, both of Lake Arthur, Mrs. Saul Trahan of Welsh and Mrs. Newton Hoffpauir of Lake Charles; and 16 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were to be Gabriel and Ronnie Foreman, Charles LeDoux, Dewey LeDoux, Merle and Earl Reeher, Eddie Trahan and Wilford Navarre.
