Gabriel "Butch" Foreman

Obituary: Funeral services for Gabriel "Butch" Foreman Sr., 82 will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, from St. Henry Catholic Church. Monsignor Irving DeBlanc will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Visitation is from noon-10 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. rosary; and from 8 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Mrs. Foreman died at 3:20 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997 in his residence.
A native of Indian Bayou, he was a longtime resident of the Lake Charles area. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. He retired as a supervisor from Evangeline Oil Co. after 15 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Josephine Foreman of Mallard Junction; three sons, Gabriel Foreman Jr. and Danny Foreman, Sr. both of Lake Charles and Mark Foreman, Sr. of Dry Creek; two daughters, Velder M. Mancuso of Westlake and Elizabeth Ann Clifton of Moss Bluff; two stepsons, Jerry Wade Mitchell of Hackberry and Collins Mitchell of Sulphur; two sisters, Inex Trahan of Carlyss and Bernice Reeher of Longview, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
