Obituary: ARCHIE EDWARD HOFFPAUIR, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on August 25th, 2000. He was born October 27th, 1922 to Teany Irving and Crawford Carlisle Hoffpauir in Crowley, Louisiana. He was predeceased by both parents, three siblings, and loving daughter Dana Hoffpauir Bishop. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joyce Glenn Hoffpauir, son Kirk Hoffpauir, wife Donita and their children Kelsey, Kyle and Kara, daughter Susan Kachler, husband Larry and their children Kelly and Kourtney and daughter Linda Swords. A graduate of the University of Houston and a proud W.W.II veteran of the 1045th Army, 8th Army Air Corp. His hobbies included fishing, vegetable gardening, and his favorite activity golf. Known for his "short game" in golf, he was also one of the fortunate few to make a hole in one. Throughout his nine year courageous battle with Leukemia he never once complained to family or friends. A private Memorial Service was held on August 27th, 2000. He was a member of Chapelwood United Methodist Church. Donations may be made to The Leukemia Society of America, 1-800-955-4572.
