Obituary: Funeral Services will be held, Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, Crowley, La. For James H. Hoffpauir, 83 who passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 3:40 pm at the Cornerstone Hospital in Sulphur, La. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Dorothy P. Hoffpauir of Westlake, La. One son, Archie Hoffpauir with wife Janine of Waco, TX, Three daughters, Gloria DeGroat with husband Art of Panama City, FL., Julie Picard with husband J.C. of Westlake, La., and Margaret Slaughter with husband Jim of Arkansas City, KS. Six Grandchildren, Stacy Ervin with husband Ken, Timothy Hoffpauir with wife Sheranne, Jeremy DeGroat, Christopher Campbell with Wife Stephanie, Joshua Slaughter, and Peter Slaughter, 8 Great Grandchildren, Shannon, Brian and Kenny Ervin, Leanne, Megan and Jaymie Marlow, Hailey and Liam Campbell., A host of family member and friends. Mr. James is preceded in death by a grandson, Johnathon DeGroat and one brother, George Albert Hoffpauir. . Mr. Hoffpauir Served his country in the US Army/Air Force during the World War II and he was a member of Army 8th Air Force. Visitation will be Friday 6:00 pm till 10:00 pm and Saturday, 8:00 am till time of service. His pallbearers will be Timothy Hoffpauir, Christopher Campbell, Jeremy DeGroat, Joshua Slaughter, Peter Slaughter, J.C. Picard, Art DeGroat and Jim Slaughter. Burial will be in Acadia Resthaven Cemetery, in Crowley, La. Under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley, La.
