Obituary: Crowley—Funeral services for James Walker Hoffpauir, 82, of Crowley will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Jerard Morgan will officiate. Interment will follow in Abshire Cemetery. Mr. Hoffpauir passed away on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 11:15 A.M. in his son’s Crowley residence. A native and lifelong residence of the LeLeau/Crowley area, Mr. Hoffpauir retired as a driller in the oilfield. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Survivors include his daughters, Gloria H. Welch of Crowley, Barbara H. Touchet of Kaplan, and Stacy Touchet Primeaux and husband, Timothy of Gueydan; sons, Eddie James Hoffpauir and wife, Pamela of Crowley, Ernest Wayne Hoffpauir of Crowley, Michael Anthony Hoffpauir and wife, Mary of Alvin, TX, and Jerry Hoffpauir and wife, Ramona of Crowley; sister, Pearl Guidry and husband, Lloyd of Lafayette; brothers, Holland Hoffpauir and wife, Lois of Buena Park, CA and Eddie Milton Hoffpauir and wife, Janie of LeLeau; 28 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Della Mae Hargrave Hoffpauir; parents, Eddy and Ella Credeur Hoffpauir; sisters, Lucy Guidry and Edith Sarver; and brothers, Sidney Hoffpauir, Dallas Hoffpauir, and Eldridge Hoffpauir. Visitation will begin on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at 5:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home, and will continue until service time in the funeral home.
