Mrs Althea Faulk, aged 90 years, died at the home of her niece Mrs. T. M. Savell, Saturday morning. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the residence, Rev. C. M. Myers officiating. Internment was made in the Confederate Cemetery.
Mrs. Faulk was one of Alvin's eldest citizens, having lived here for thirty five years and was the first person to unite with the Methodist church after its organization here. she was a sister of the late Alvin Morgan, founder of Alvin. Her husband, Pierce Faulk died nearly twenty years ago. Mrs Faulk never took an active part in public life but was admired and loved by all who knew her for her kindness and charity.
