The 1910 Ellis County, Texas, Census (see Notes for Cicero H. Briles for details) says that this Mattie has M. as a middle initial and was 4 when the census was taken on April 5, 1910. She probably died before the "second" Mattie was born in 1913, which is why the second 1913 daughter was also named Mattie.
