Christina "Styntje Klaes" Claeszen

( - )

From the book by Dr. Bangs on the life of Dr. Phineas F. Bresee, page 291 notes on Chapter 3 Item 10 "Christina's apparent surname was probably, in Dutch, a patronymic, Klaasdr (for the "dochter", or daughter of Nicholas, or Klass ), rather than a family name. One source says they had ten sons and five daughters.

From the study "Contributions for the Genealogies of the First Settlers of the Ancient County of Albany, from 1630 to 1800" by Prof. Jonathan Pearson, page 28: Christoffel Brussy and Christine Claes (Styntje Nicolaase) christened their children.
