Leonard Harriman

See "The English Ancestry of Leonard Harriman of Rowley, MA, and John Harriman of New Haven, CT" by Lois Ware Thurston page 40 in the NEHGS Register 1996, Vol 150: Leonard Harriman (probably the son of Matthew, the grandson of Leonard, and great grandson of Matthew), the New England immigrant, was born probably at Uldale, Cumberland, England in 1621 or 1622, based on a deposition made 28 Nov. 1676 in which he gave his age as about 54 years; he was evidently of legal age in 1642-1643 when he owned property in Rowley, MA. He died at Rowley between 12 May and 5 June 1691, the dates his will was drawn and his estate inventoried. Leonard married, before 16 May 1650 when their first child John was born, Margaret _____, who died at Rowley and was buried there on 22 Oct. 1676. Their children are listed on pages 43-44.
