Benjamin Marshall

(12 Apr 1646 or 18 Apr 1646 - 25 Nov 1716)

See "A memorial of the town of Hampstead, New Hampshire" Vol II by Harriette Eliza Noyes dated 1903, page 781. He was born 27 Sept 1646, son of Edmund Marshall and wife Millicent, he married Prudence Woodward, 2 Nov 1677, in Ipswich, and shows their children. It also shows his father, Edmund, was a freeman in Massachusetts on 17 May1637 and had lands granted to him there in 1638. Therefore, the son Benjamin was not born in Scotland as shown below. Children all born in Ipswich, MA were: Benjamin, Anna, Mary, Abigail, Sarah, Rachel, Edmund, Ezekiel, John and Joseph.

Per "History of the town of Stratford NH 1773-1925" by Jeannette R. Thompson, page 420: per the book "Shakerism Exposed" by Mrs Mary (Marshall) Dyer printed 1847 in Concord, states that Benjamin Marshall was from Scotland, settled in Essex, MA, had four children: John, Edmund, Benjamin and Ezekiel.
